Opening Day Fixtures Announced

Dartford’s first Conference Premier league fixture in twenty six years will be against Tamworth at Princes Park.

The Darts will hope to get off to a flying start on 11 August when the season opener takes place. Dartford will follow up the curtain raiser away to the Conference South champions Woking three days later. The Cards completed the double over Tony Burman’s side last season.

To complete the first week The Darts return to Princes Park to take on relegated Macclesfield Town. The former League Two side last played Dartford in the 1989 F.A Trophy semi-final winning 4-1 on aggregate. August ends with a Bank Holiday clash away to Cambridge United.

It has been two years since Tony Burman’s side faced neighbours Ebbsfleet United and the two sides will be up against each other on Boxing Day and New Years Day, the first of the two meetings will be held at Princes Park.

On the final day of the season The Darts managed to get a home fixture versus newly promoted Nuneaton, who earned promotion via the Conference North playoffs.

Did you know…

Dartford will play Barrow on non league day in October, The Bluebirds were the last team Dartford beat in the Conference Premier league back on 16 March 1986.

Dartford last played in the top flight of non league football on 3 May 1986 when they were defeated by Kent rivals Maidstone United.
